With the economy still struggling and most people wondering where their next paycheck is coming from, a personal budgeting solution is becoming more and more necessary. There are several options available, however when it comes to my finances one company is improving quicklybecoming the main personal finance site for my family, BudgetPulse. Last night BudgetPulse released a new site update for their already wonderful product that accomplished several things.
However, before we get into the changes, lets talk about some of the things BudgetPulse has always done. BudgetPulse is a personal budgeting site that allows you control over your information. There is no direct linking to your bank account, you can manually enter all transactions or upload from other popular software titles. I love BudgetPulse and have utilized them for many months with a great deal of success (check out some of the other BudgetPulse posts). I almost never carry a check register and often rely upon mental calculations in my head to maintain my balance and usually I do pretty well. Of course, its twice as hard to maintain that when two or more people are writing checks as well, so they have been a blessing while keeping up with a month’s transactions.
Got your attention yet? Well check this out, last night’s update included some of the typical update items: improved homepage design (to improve aesthetics) and a few loose ends that allow you to in-line edit while searching and the ability to view a running balance when looking at a single account. Probably the best thing about the site update and the part that has me most excited is the ability to establish savings goals. You can set financial savings goals such as saving for Christmas, a new car, a new electronics device, and more. Your friends and family can get into the act as well by contributing money through PayPal, Amazon, or pledging money to help you reach your goal. Obviously this option could get extended far beyond personal finance and be utilized by many organizations and clubs with savings goals. BudgetPulse has hit a with this update and truly understand what the users want.
Check out BudgetPulse today. Sign up if you are interested, or just check out their blog for more great financial information. Have a great day.

Thank you for the kind words about the update. We are so excited to have the ability to bring the new improvements especially the savings goal feature to all our users. This was a big request from our users which is why we developed it. If anyone has any questions about the new release or improvements to come, please feel free to contact me.
